Monday, October 2nd our best friends 17 year old daughter Alex Rotert was a passenger in a car when they got into a very serious car accident. She is in critical condition at U of M hospital where she was air lifted. This is going to be a very long process for her and her family with so many unanswered questions to Alex's health. Here is a list of her injuries:

1. Right lung collapsed
2. Left basilar collapsed
3. Subcutaneous air in neck and mediastinum (chest trauma)
4. Multiple lung contusions, with associated pneumatocele on right upper lobe contusion
5. Several rib fractures
6. Comminuted fracture of the right scapula
7. TRAMATIC BRAIN INJURIES
8. Acute intracranial hemorrhage with brain contusion
9. Fracture of the left lateral mass of C2
10. Large left retroperitoneal hematoma
11. Numerous pelvic and sacral fractures and extraperitoneal pelvic hematoma
12. Bladder contusion
13. Fractures of the left L4 and L5 transverse processes
14. Broken left humerus

Each day this list keeps getting longer. They finally were able to get the bleeding in her brain to stop this morning. She is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning at 10am For her broken pelvis and arm, as long as the bruising, swelling and bleeding of the brain is stabilized, please keep your fingers crossed because it has already been postponed twice.

We are here asking for your help, love and prayers. Alex's mother will be out of work for months if not longer staying by her daughters side until she wakes up and is stable again and also has a 10 year old daughter Samantha that she has to take care of.
