We have been asked by so many on how you can help. For those of you who may not know, here are the details on our current situation.
On April 20th this year I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. As a family, like many others, we started to work through this process and are sincerely grateful for all the prayers and support that we received from our family and friends. During this time, Donna started to develop some bumps on her skin. We prayed that this might be some type of stress related issue as a result of my condition, but on July 19th this year Donna was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. As any parent, your focus is on taking care of your kids and couldn't imagine what they are going through with both parents being diagnosed with cancer within three months of each other..
So far my treatments are going well with minimal side effects, but as I have been told, that the treatment I am working through is based on a accumulation to combat my disease. Donna has just finished her 1st induction chemotherapy. Her disease is much more aggressive and has to be combated much more aggressively to get her cured. Donna will be needing a bone marrow transplant in the future. During this time she will be treated in the Moffitt center in Tampa, FL.
I will let you know that I have been reluctant to start this website, especially with all of the love, prayers, and support that so many have shown to us during this time. I really do not know what unexpected costs we will have in front us but we will be extremely grateful for any support that you are able to provide. We know that God has had us both prior to being diagnosed, He has us now as we walk through this path, and he will have us once this journey is completed. God is good.
