Patti's Breast Cancer Fund

My name is Misty Qvale and my mother was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. A few months ago she underwent a double masectomy and has now started what will be a year of chemotherapy treatments every 3 weeks.

At the advisement of her Oncologist, Mom stopped working.  Before cancer she was working at the Northwest Children's Home where she loved giving each child every ounce of her heart. Because a children's group home enviroment can be both stressful and expose her to many bacterial and viral infections while immunocompromised she was advise to stop work. My parents have gone from having two incomes to one when they were relying on both before Mom's diagnosis. 

Now that Mom is a few months post-op and well into chemotherapy the bills are starting to add up. Mom will undergo chemotherapy for a year, and for half of it at least she will be flying down to Boise every three weeks to recieve treatment. She's currently accrued 6,000 dollars in medical bills which have met her health insurance deductable for this year, however that deductible with restart in Janruary when she will have to spend another 6,000 dollars out of pocket before receiving any help from insurance. 

I'm starting this page to try and help my parents raise money to put towards the mounting medical bills that they are facing. Cancer is an overwhelming disease and really anything helps. All funds will go directly toward medical bills.

We really can't be thankful enough for the help we have already recieved and hope to continue to recieve. It's a wonderful feeling to know that so many people love and care about this woman who is so special to our family.
