India Volunteer Trip

Hi everyone, we are travelling to India in January as part of the Equal Health organisation. We are fundraising because although it is great for us to be able to go and teach the children English, life skills, sanitation skills and to just provide them with love, we would love to be able to buy resources over there so that they can continue learning once we leave. We have projects as a team that we will be completing while we are away. In India teenage girls living in a rural or remote area are unable to go to school when they have their period and on average they miss 3 months of school per year. Your contribution will go towards the purchase of a machine to manufacture basic sanitary napkins that are affordable and accessible to all girls in the area. We also have plans to build a play room/ sensory motor room for the boys and girls at Anandaniketan which is a special needs orphanage. This room will allow the children to have an area to play and learn while also allowing children who are unable to leave the compound a place to access equipment that will assist them in their development. We would appreciate any kind of donations that will help me buy these much needed resources. Thank you.
