In support of our dear friend, Emma Bogart, who suffers from a tumor in her Brain called Craniophyrangioma, we are hoping to raise awareness of this mysterious Tumor found in many young children ages 5-14.

The tumor was discovered in Emma late in 2012 after her mother and father, Maria and Carl Bogart, noticed many changes in their daughter. Emma was moody, suffered from chronic headaches, had darkening eyes and was unable to focus. After many attempts with doctors, the Bogart’s finally took their daughter to a specialist who made the discovery.
Since, Emma has undergone numerous surgeries, radiation procedures and chemotherapy in hopes of removing or reducing the tumor. Emma suffers partial loss of ot of the use of her left side, mainly the function of her arm. This has caused the need for her to continually go through strenuous physical therapy in an effort to recover and live life as a all children should be able to.
It has been 5 years Emma, Maria and Carl have been working towrds healing. Despite the difficulties associated with all this hardship, Ms. Emma is simply a ray of light. She is strong and always smiling, determined to beat the challenges she faces.
No family should have to go through the sadness and challenges the Bogarts face ever day. No one can comprehend what it is like knowing your child is continually suffering. As a society, the only thing we can do is provide support. I am asking each of you to put yourself in the position of the Bogart family and try to comprehend what they are going through. Aside from the pain and sorrow of the tumor itself, financially the co-pays, costs of medication, time off work and sitters for their other children while having to take care of Emma have become excruciating.
I am asking everyone to continue to sacrifice in the name of Emma. A simple gesture of not eating out just once, and donating that money saved towards the costs of her medical care will make the world of differenc. With prayer and donations, together we can alleviate a lot of stress on this family.
