Dunbar 78 Alumni Scholarship Picnic

It's time for the Dunbar All Class Scholarship Reunion Picnic. Three years ago, we officially joined the Dunbar All Class Reunion Scholarship Picnic group. With a little less than two weeks, we were able to pull off a great reunion picnic and have our class represented. Last year, the turnout was even better than previous years. With that being said, it’s time to plan again.
This year's all class picnic reunion will be special since it is also our 40th reunion. Our 40th dinner reunion will be held the day before the picnic on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the South Shore Cultural Center. Details related to this event are listed in the link below. The All Class Scholarship Reunion Picnic has been scheduled for Saturday, June 23, 2018, in Washington Park near 51st and Cottage Grove, behind the armory.
The registration fee for this year is $550.00 per class. The fee covers a permit for each class to have two grills and two tents. It also supports the DJ and security. In addition, one of the nicest contributions is that some of the fee supports scholarships for Dunbar students. Please see the details and the financial reports on our Facebook website which will be posted.
The funds will be used for the usual items which include our rented tent, table, chairs, grill, and to purchase food. The goal amount is based off what was needed last year. Any additional overage will be used to secure our registration for the following year.
Please assist our class in being represented this year. We have set up a GoFundMe Me account. The $550.00 increased registration fee has been paid from last year’s overage. This will deplete most of the funds. We would also like to reserve our grill and porta-potty for our class to have a successful event once again.
Thanks to all of you who were willing to step up for the cause last year and hopefully again this year. Any amount over the goal will be used to cover additional items that we may have forgotten to include, such as additional food. We know more classmates our planning to attend and any additional funds will be used to register for the next picnic.
