Dufferin Grove 2018

Don protégé
Hey everyone,

It's that time of year when we start planning ways to fix, build and set up ramps at Dufferin Grove for the coming season. This year, we'd like to build some new obstacles and fix up many of the favourites.

If you're not familiar, the skatepark at Dufferin Grove is a focal point for the skate community in Toronto. Over the past 10 years the unofficial park has grown in popularity. Last year, the park saw its busiest season - with people coming from all around the city and world to skate.

This year, we hope to raise enough money to cover the cost of materials (such as skatelite, lumber, metal, screws, etc.) to optimize for fun, quality, re-usability and safety. This skatepark is fully funded by the community donations so your support means a great deal.

For the year ahead, there are two popular requests we've heard over the years - which are to build a hip and a long flat bar "like Dunbat has". Along with that we intend to rebuild past obstacles that feel to disrepair (kickers or spine, rollerbalder box).

Below are some sketches that include will better communicate the proposed layout of the park (please note that not all obstacles are pictured).

Your donation will mean a great deal to the community as Dufferin Grove offers a much needed space for skateboarders of all ages and walks of life in a city with few skateparks.

Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to share on social media and let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for your continued support.
