Funeral Expenses for Ulises
Donation protected
UPDATE: Ulises passed away on February 15, 2022
In early 2020, Ulises was diagnosed with cancer in several vital organs, including kidneys, testicles, lungs and around the heart. He has endured surgeries, chemotherapy, and stem cell transplants in the past 2 years. A couple of weeks ago, his doctors said that this was “the end” for him and don’t expect him to make it to the end of this year. He is suffering from an aggressive type of cancer that sadly doesn’t have a cure – the tumor, about 13 inches wide, continues to grow. Ulises is 23 years old, 5’ 5” and now only 70 pounds. He needs morphine for the severe pain, is losing his mental faculties, will soon be fed through an intravenous tube, has lost sensation in his right arm and is completely disabled. We pray that during his last months he feels love, comfort, and peace.
Ulises’ mom, Gina, and his family kindly ask for any donations to help with the upcoming funeral costs. The hope is that he be buried with his baby brother, Nathan, who passed at 14 days old just last year on September 17th. No amount is too small. And if a monetary donation is not possible, we would appreciate your prayers for Ulises and his family during this extremely difficult time. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
Ulises was born in Atlixco, Mexico and came to the U.S. at the age of 11. He has 2 younger brothers, Kevin and Ernie, and lives with his single mother in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles. Before his diagnosis, he worked at Whole Foods to save money to go to college. He loved to paint and draw, and his dream was to become an artist, which is why he attended Ramón C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts, a public high school. Those who know Ulises would describe him as a sweet, kind, genuine and gentle soul.
