DUENDE Employee Fund

I have always believed that the true heart and spirit of Duende comes from the people that animate it with love and incredible talent everyday, our employees and our guests. Over the past 7 plus years I have had the good fortune to work with so many wonderful people who have helped build Duende into what it is today.
 
One week ago, when the Shelter- in- Place mandate went into effect, I had no choice but to take the  necessary yet heartbreaking measure of temporarily laying off all of our hourly employees. We have been working around the clock the past week to figure out how we can provide for our amazing team during this time while also trying to ensure that they have a job to come back to when this is all over. We have helped everyone transition to unemployment but it is not enough. Simply put, we are humbly reaching out to you, our greater Duende community, for help.

Please, if you have ever been to Duende and enjoyed our food and drinks, our atmosphere, our hospitality, our art, music, and/or our overall Duende vibe, or even if you haven’t been to Duende but hope to visit us in the future (!), we are asking for donations of any amount to help support our wonderful staff. We understand that many of you are not in a position to support this effort at this time, and we send our deepest blessings. For those of you in a better position, we send the same sincere blessings, but also ask for your support; every little bit helps!
 
100% of donations will be distributed to Duende’s staff.
