Dudley Continued Vet Bills

We need help with Dudley's vet on-going bills ...

Dudley is a 12 year old rescued cockapoo with special needs stemming from past neglect, who I adopted 04Dec17.

I'm on a fixed income which I supplement by pet sitting, so when I asked about adopting Dudley I had no idea how much money, time, patience and love he'd need. Sadly this also meant I'd lose most of my clients/extra income.

Dudley's former foster mom helped us pay more than $2500 in vet bills via GoFundMe by February 2018.  We finally have a diagnosis of CUPS (Chronic Ulcerative Paradental Stomatitis), which has no easy/cheap cure.

I was prepared to pay routine vet costs, but now it's clear those are going to be far higher than expected.  After he had 4 teeth removed in February, we hoped we could keep him comfortable without resorting to removing all his teeth ($5K plus), as many do to address CUPS)

Now a protocol of medicines, herbs and homeopathic remedies will be started, as well as regular hair cuts to keep his skin free of hot spots and other issues due to his compromised immune system.

I've already spent $500 since grooming or even checking his mouth require full anesthesia, since he's so reactive.  At 12 years old I'm getting some small signs of improvement but I can't even brush his hair, let alone his teeth.   

I've fostered/rescued literally hundreds of dogs and cats over the past 30 years, but Dudley is the biggest challenge of my life.  The past generosity of so many of you has touched me to my heart and hopefully if we can keep Dudley pain-free he'll have time to enjoy his twiliight years with me.
