Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a severe genetic disorder causing progressive muscle weakness and loss. It primarily affects boys, leading to mobility loss, respiratory issues, and heart complications, with no cure yet available.

This year, I’m getting back on my bike for the fourth time to ride for Duchenne Heroes, together with Team Bassie, for Bassie.

This year is about more than just a sporting achievement. Bassie and his family are moving to a single-level home, better suited to his needs. This serves as a powerful reminder of why we ride – every day counts, and every contribution brings us closer to a future without Duchenne.
