Dublin Steiner School
Jakob has heard of a small campaign in a sister school to his Steiner school in Hamburg. The Dublin Steiner school is looking to raise funds for their long awaited Re -opening in September 2020. They need funds to furnish and equip their new class 1 classroom. (Wooden desks and chairs etc.) which will amount to approx. €2000 per 10 children. (Its Ireland!)
Jakob has decided that he would like to accept a 5/5/5/5/5 challenge next week (Monday to Friday) for 5 days, (18-22 May), seeing as his 5 times tables are his favourite so far.
Jakob is going to read 5 books (Of decent charachter and length), he will run 5 kilometres, he will cycle 5 kilometres, and he will create 5 pictures (Marker, Pastel, Pencil, Paint and Sketch) all in the space of 5 days. He may even donate some pictures to either the school, or to a lucky bidder. Lastly , he will learn and cook 5 different meals (lunch or dinner)
There will be no expenses involved and all money raised no matter how small or big, will be handed over to the Dublin Steiner School in June. Jakob will also collect sponsorship from those he meets over this week end and during the week of challenge. We will let you know the final amount raised in total.
Please show your appreciation to alternative, creative education in Ireland, and also to support Jakob who has been dilligently training for this since lockdown started. I will document the challenge each day starting this Monday
