Aine's Dublin City Marathon for Tipperary Down Syndrome
My name is Aine Keating and I am running the Dublin City Marathon on Sunday 27th October 2024 in aid of Down Syndrome Tipperary.
My adorable niece, Sarah Kenny (in the photo with me) avails of the services provided by Down Syndrome Tipperary.
They are a voluntary organisation with no state funding and require alot of fundraising to cover the cost of vital services to include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Education tutoring, cookery, dancing, drama, cycling,
swimming lessons and music therapy. They also run courses and programmes including readiness for the workplace and of course opportunities for socialisation, building confidence and independence skills and so much more, all of which allow their members to reach their full potential whatever that might be.
The goal of Down Syndrome Tipperary is to help members to gain a sense of confidence, pride, achievement and of being like their peers and belonging within their community.
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Down Syndrome Tipperary and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
