Dublin Bay to Ballybay Challenge

Donation protected
2 years ago our beautiful friend, Anne Marie Leonard, suffered a spinal chord stroke, leaving her paralysed from the breastbone down. She had travelled home to Ireland from Australia as a surprise for her mother’s 70th Birthday party. The resulting catastrophic injury meant relocating suddenly with her husband and young son from her life in Perth Australia, where they had lived for almost 6 years and where Anne Marie had worked as nurse.

Anne Marie is refusing to accept her prognosis and her goal is to some day walk again. Anne Marie's courage and determination is an inspiration - more than she knows! Continuous physio, alternative treatments and weekly visits to the hyperbaric chamber help, which she drives herself to in her assited car, ensure that Anne Marie keeps her body fit and strong.

Anne Marie is in the process of renting out the Exoskeleton with the hope of purchasing it in the future (just a mere €100k!!) Please click on the link below to see her in action. For all you gadget geeks, how awesome is this??!!

We are planning on “walking” (on a treadmill/on the roads) from Dublin Bay to Ballybay in Co Monaghan during the first 21 days of November..

Please support us on our challenge. We would really appreciate it.
