Duarte Family Fighting Cancer Fund

My very dear friend, Denise Duarte, received a call at work on Friday stating she needed to get her husband John to the hospital ASAP as his platelets were extremely low. He went to the doctor the day before as he had some odd bruising but had no idea what it was, so they had lab work done. Turns out he is in late stages of aggressive AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).   They had no idea. 

It is much worse than they hoped, his temperature and hemoglobin are dropping, and he is currently too weak for treatment. They have two very young boys who need their mommy and their daddy. Denise will have to take some extended leave without full compensation. As she is their only income at this time, and we know medical bills will start coming, any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. 

Denise and her family are truly amazing people. Always willing to give to others and expect nothing in return. She truly has a heart for the community she serves as a teacher at Sultana Academy in the Ontario-Montclair School District.  Let’s help this dear family during this very stressful time.
