Dolores T. Aaron Playground Project

Dolores T. Aaron Elementary has come far from it's humble beginnings, and we will continue our strive to provide the best school, inside and out, to our eager New Orleans students. This campaign is to raise enough funds to finalize the playground project initialized earlier this year. Our students are in need of a place to run, play, explore, and exercise.

Thanks to our amazing supporters, we have won the 2014 Let’s Play Video Contest! This has gotten us a giant step closer to our dream playground project! The playground is within our sights, but we still need $15,000 for the equipment and expensive site preparations before the April 2015 build date.

Our playground project is about enriching our rigorous academic experience with a safe and fun space for students to play. At Dolores T. Aaron Academy, we're stronger together when we play together.

“We are educating the whole child at Dolores T. Aaron,” said John Gravier, ReNEW School Leader. “This opportunity would provide the kids with necessary peer-to-peer interaction that can help them grow.”

ReNEW Dolores T. Aaron is a PK-8th grade school that is really making moves! Almost 8 years after the original building was destroyed in Katrina, we have finally moved into our new home! Right now there is a lot of dirt and no real constructive play space for our scholars.
