Grace and peace be with you all.

My name is Gretel Dierkhising, and I am humbly reaching out to ask for your prayers, compassion, and support for my beloved hometown — Canlaon City, Philippines — which has been devastated by Typhoon Tino.

The storm struck our city with unimaginable force, taking precious lives, leaving many injured, and countless families without homes. Some of our neighbors remain missing, and the pain and fear in our community are beyond words. Homes, schools, and livelihoods have been destroyed. Many are struggling without food, clean water, clothing, and shelter.

As someone who grew up in this community, my heart aches to see familiar faces in despair — mothers searching for their children, fathers trying to stay strong, and families clinging to hope amidst the ruins. Yet even in the darkness, we hold fast to God’s promise:

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

I am reaching out to ask for your help — in any way you are led to give. Your donation can bring warm meals, clean water, clothing, and medical aid to those in desperate need. Together, we can be instruments of God’s mercy and love, helping restore what has been lost and reminding our brothers and sisters that they are not forgotten.
