The Wind, New Album Mix/Master

As you all know, we’ve spent the the last two years writing and recording our second full-length album. It’s been a challenging road for us, one that’s required a tremendous amount of work and resolve to remain committed to realizing our goal. Well…we’ve finally reached the end and we could not be more proud of what we’ve accomplished together!
Thank you to every one of you who have regularly asked us, “How’s recording coming?” It means everything to know that the people close to us are supportive, interested, and patiently waiting for our career to take the next step.
There are a few final obstacles we have to overcome in order to bring this project to life, so we’re reaching out to our close friends and family to ask for your help. Our entire recording and production from beginning to end has been self-made by just the four of us, however, the final steps in the recording process need to be handled by skilled technicians in professional studios in order to yield the best possible result.
We’ve come as far as we can on our own resources, but we’ve reached a point where we can no longer do it alone. If you are able to contribute in any capacity to help us complete this project, we would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for standing by us and encouraging us to work hard at what we love!
Cost Breakdown
• Mixing $5,500
Mixing requires a highly trained and experienced mix engineer to properly blend all the instruments and vocals we’ve recorded. This cost covers their fees and the use of a sonically treated studio with the equipment necessary to do a quality job.
• Mastering $2,000
Mastering takes the entire album as a whole and adjusts it to translate to all types of speakers. It enables the album to be played in any type of listening environment. It also provides the “master” copy of the album from which every digital download and physical CD will be made. Like mixing, it requires a mastering studio and a trained mastering engineer.
• Distribution/Design/Marketing $1,500
Once the album’s mixed and mastered, we’ll distribute it through as many channels as possible. This includes iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, Beats Music, Amazon, as well as radio stations and dedicated music websites. In order to do this, we have to fund distribution fees, album artwork, and PR to reach out to industry influencers.
• Giving Back
We want everyone who helps us to have at least one copy of the finished product as well as a T-Shirt, Vinyl Album, or Tickets to see us!
