Hello, we are Delta Sigma Pi's 2018 Women's Little 500 Team and are excited for another great season of riding! We would like to thank you for your interest in supporting us as we prepare for 31st running of the Women’s Little 500 race on April 20th. We would be honored to have you as a sponsor for our cycling team.
Your sponsorship would directly contribute to the growth and vitality of women’s cycling, as well as the Little 500 scholarship fund. Sponsorship dollars provide immediate, tangible benefits that assist new riders entering the sport, encourage active riders to maintain their commitment to the sport, and make this sport accessible to participants of all ability levels.
Sponsorship dollars for the Delta Sigma Pi (DSP) women’s team will be used for important training and race expenses, including:
- resources to help equip and train riders
- shared team equipment
- Little 500 race entry and bicycle fees
Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
How to donate:
This is a unique opportunity to sponsor an individual race day lap for DSP’s women’s team. To sponsor a lap, you will need to donate just $15.00 to the team for every lap that you wish to sponsor. There are 100 laps in the race, you can sponsor as many as you like! If you wish to sponsor a specific lap number, please comment which lap number in your donation, or reach out to one of our riders (it will be on a first come first serve basis). If a specific lap number is not desired, the laps will be filled in chronological order. If you donate to this sponsorship opportunity, your name and lap number will be located on the back of the women’s t-shirt as a thank you for your contributions toward the cycling team.
If you do not want to sponsor a lap, or wish to donate less than $15, we still greatly appreciate your support!
How else to contribute:
1. Just show up! If you cannot contribute monetarily, we would still love for you to come out to the track at Indiana University for the race on April 20, 2018 at 4pm to cheer for DSP’s women’s team.
2. Help us find corporate sponsors! If you know of a company that would be interested in sponsoring DSP’s women’s team, please contact Maggie Miles by email through the information on this page.
MEET THE TEAM
We have 4 riders this year, following is a bit about each of us:
Bridget Barnes (co-captain):
Bridget is a senior from Mason, Ohio and this is her 3rd year riding for Delta Sigma Pi. She is a Supply Chain Management & Marketing major and will be working at Grainger in Chicago after graduation this May. Fun fact: She is a certified SCUBA diver!
Maggie Miles (co-captain):
Maggie is a senior from Naperville, IL and this is her 3rd year riding for Delta Sigma Pi. She is an Accounting & Finance major and will be working at EY in the tax service line in Chicago after graduation this May. Fun fact: She lived in Japan for 4 and 1/2 years!
Joelle Gross:
Joelle is a junior from Barrington, IL and this is her 2nd year riding for Delta Sigma Pi. She is a Marketing & Professional Sales major and will be interning at Whirlpool in Benton Harbor, Michigan this summer. She is very excited to no longer be a rookie this year. Fun fact: She’s a twin!
Tennie Worrell:
Tennie is a junior from Warsaw, IN and we are very excited for her to be our lone rookie this year! Welcome to the team Tennie! She is a Marketing & Graphic Design major and will be interning at Stryker in Tempe, Arizona this summer. Fun fact: She got a pen pal when she was 10 years old, and they still keep in touch!
