Dryer for John Muir's Parent Room

John Muir Elementary School is in URGENT need of a dryer. The school's parent room is equipped with a washer and dryer that helps families keep their clothes clean and fresh. Access to laundry facilities really helps with attendance in a school where many families  depend this service. 

We can do this!! Any donation, large or small, will help us reach our goal.

John Muir is also accepting donations of laundry soap. You can drop off laundry soap in the main office, 380 Webster Street, during school hours, 8:40pm to 2:55 pm.

As the above video makes abundantly clear, John Muir is a school filled with love, gratitude and generosity. Teachers are recognized district-wide for mastery in their profession. Parents volunteer countless hours. Students are personally motivated to serve their community and started a Knitting Club to knit scarves for the homeless and, The Give Back Girls, a club whose members distributed care packages to the homeless, cleaned up their neighborhood park, and delivered thank you cards to local EMT’s and firefighters.

John Muir is 92% socioeconomically disadvantaged,
38% English language learners, 13.2% students with disabilities, and 25% of students are homeless.
