Dry and Veggie January Fundraiser:Beads of Courage

Tax deductible
At the end of last year my two year old cousin, Rylee, was diagnosed with leukaemia and admitted to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. During this difficult period a number of charities and organisations supported Rylee, her mum Mollie and wider family and so I felt it was only right if I made an effort to raise some money and support for them

What started as a personal challenge of not drinking any alcohol and becoming vegetarian for January can hopefully become a charity challenge to raise money for three charities including Beads of Courage UK and Ireland who:

Support the mental health and well-being of seriously ill children throughout the UK

“Beads of Courage shifted the focus from treatment to beads. It gave children a non-scary, tangible means to communicate with their peers about what it is they have been through and continue to go through, and it opened up lines of communication and broke down barriers of illness through lack of knowledge”

Fortunately Rylee is now on the road to recovery and should be coming home over the next couple of weeks

Thank you for taking the time to read this and feel free to provide me with alcohol-free beverage tips, I’ve already had the “delight” of sampling “Heineken 0.0” and “de-alcoholised” “wine”
