Dry House for the Monks

The 30-35 Monks of Chiwong Monastery have started the construction of a dry house so they have a spot to dry their robes in the wet and frigid Himalayan weather as they live at 2950 Meters off the side of a cliff in the Everest Region of Nepal.  They need more help to finish this project and to add a hot shower and washer machine.   

Back in the Spring of 2020 when the World went into Lockdown these Monks took me in to live with them while I was stuck in Nepal.  During this time an Everesting ride was done as a fundraiser to help these guys build a dry house.  Now that dry house is under construction and they're looking for a bit more help to finish it off.  Around 2500 USD.

This Friday my buddy Brendan and I will ride "The Big Loop" in Victoria BC, a 270 km ride up the West Coast to Port Renfrew, across to Lake Cowichan, then back on the great trail to Victoria.  This will be the kickoff for fundraiser. 

Let's help these Monks out as they live in a pretty rugged spot of the World, and currently it is next to impossible for them to dry or wash their clothes in such a harsh environment.
