Drunk Driving Hit-and-Run Fatality Assistance

On Wednesday my family experienced a tragedy that no one should have to endure. In the wee hours of the morning, newly displaced from his apartment, my uncle and his girlfriend were killed by a drunk driver fleeing a previous accident. Our family is rallying, but I’m reaching out to ask that if you are able, for you to join me in contributing to help offset the cost of funeral expenses, so my cousin can lay her father to rest.
I've been in awe of my cousin, Tina's strength. As my uncle's only child (pictured above), she's had to not only endure getting a call that merely 15 minutes after her birthday that he father had been killed, then processing that loss, dealing with police investigations and keeping it together for her four sons who are processing the sudden loss of their grandfather.
People often read stories like this and say, "Where was his family? Why weren't they there giving him a place to stay." The answer is they are there. Driving the streets of Houston, looking for their loved ones on a daily basis. Trying to convince them to take up a room in their own homes. Working with caseworkers to find housing. Searching. Worrying. Hoping to find them, but not like this... Every story is different, so be careful to not judge too harshly.
He leaves behind one daughter, a son-in-law, four grandsons, three sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives, and his two beloved dogs.

All contribution will go directly to funeral expenses as needed. Any amount in excess will be given directly to his only child, my cousin, Tina.
