Please Support Hannah's Recovery

Hello!  My name is Becky.  Thank you so much for reading.  I am the single mother of a young woman who is addicted to several narcotics.   Her name is Hannah, and she turned 21 a few days ago.  We live in Northern California.

This is difficult to write because I know it means exposing our deepest defects in order to ask for your help--shortcomings most people never talk about; however, I knew deep down that leveling my trivial pride was necessary, and an easy decision,  in order to save my only child.  I have my share of pride, like a lot of people, and I hate asking for help.  I'd like to add that this is a "last ditch" effort.  I have called pretty much all of the rehab centers around, and there is either at least a $4,000 per month charge or, as for the low-cost or free centers, there is a six-month-to-one-year waiting list.

Hannah is a beautiful, intelligent person, and what she suffers from is unforgiving and insidious--a disease that leads to death in many cases.  Her health is failing rapidly, and I don't want my daughter to die.  Hannah is extremely underweight and has developed some serious health problems.

Hannah doesn't want to suffer any longer.  She has tried to kick drugs several times, using the tools of the Narcotics Anonymous program.  She desperately wants to be clean, but can't do it on her own.

An inpatient drug rehab facility is the best option I can think of right now, but I cannot afford it on my fixed income.  I have disabilities that prevent me from working full time.  Every facility I have called requires all the money up front, which is terrible news.

It would mean the world to Hannah, and to me, if there is any way at all you could help us reach this goal.  I know that finances are tight right now for a lot of people, so we would be eternally grateful for any help possible.

Please help me save my daughter's life.  I can't bear the thought of watching my her slowly destroy herself--her life has just begun, and she has such amazing potential.

I'm very thankful that you've read this far.  It gives me hope that my prayers are being answered.  If you're not able to help right now, I've hopefully at least raised awareness of what drug addiction does to young people and the lives it destroys.  Please help spread the word.

God bless you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Becky :)
