Thomas Mathis

Starting this page is something we had to turn to as a last resort. My father Thomas Mathis started having chest pains on thursday and shortness of breath and had to be rushed to the hospital and doctors declared his arteries were 90 percent blocked. Those who know my dad knows how hard he works to help others. He has volunteered for 32 years to coach youth basketball for free, where he trained many kids starting from third grade level to high school and never asked to be paid. My dad loves seeing his students succeed and to see his old players still call him coach shows who he is as a person. Unfortunately my dad has no insurance because of the type of work he does. Tuesday september 2nd is his open heart surgery. Were not asking for much for donations, it could be $1, $5 or whatever you can afford everything will help at this point. My family has been struggling this past year and for my dad to be out of work with a condition like this will set us back tremendously, thank you in advance.
