PLEASE HELP THE ACEVEDO FAMILY DURING THIS CRISIS.
Devoted husband to Annie, father to 6-year-old Isabella, and soon to be father in January 2019, Alberto Acevedo was seriously injured August 11, 2018. Alberto was traveling on his motorcycle near home when a car making a left turn, pulled out in front of him, hitting Berto head on. Berto was rushed to Halifax Hospital where he immediately received emergency surgery to repair an aortic tear. Alberto is currently in ICU, intubated on a ventilator. He has a punctured lung (chest tube), fractured ribs, multiple vertebral fractures , multiple fractures in his left ankle and foot, and had a portion of his bowel removed. A blood clot in his right leg caused another emergency surgery to save his leg from amputation. Within the first 24 hours of the accident, Berto received seven separate surgeries with many more to come. Following his hospitalization, Berto will be in need of rehabilitation.
The Acevedo family live in Palm Coast. Florida, and are members at Parkview Baptist Church. Alberto, an automobile mechanic in Daytona, will be out of work for several months. His wife, Annie, is an first grade teacher in Flagler County and pregnant with their second child. We, the friends of Alberto and Annie, are asking that you please help us raise money for this beautiful family, so that they can put their energy towards healing and not worrying about daily and medical bills.
Let us tell you about Alberto. He always has a smile on his face. He is a loving and devoted husband to Annie and father to to his sweet little daughter, Isabella. This lovely family has been trying to have another child for years and have been now blessed with a new baby coming in early 2019. The joy and thankfulness that God graced them with, the new addition to their family, was felt by all they shared this news with. Alberto is a gentleman. He never wants to be in the limelight. He takes a back seat to his ladies, Annie and Bella. He is an extremely unselfish man, humble beyond words. If anyone needs help, whether family, friend, or stranger, there he is. He is kind and very generous with his time.
