Travis and Nathan I could not have asked for better kids to raise. they are my life. I consider them as my own.

I am a former

Police Officer of

over 18 years. That was my dream job. I loved the ability to help others. Ever since I was a young child I wanted to be a Police Officer. I have been blessed to be able to help countless people in their most needing time. That was the best reward I could ever ask for. But unfortunately now I need help in my most needing time. I have been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure and I currently go to Dyalisis 3 days a week for 4 hours per treatment. Dyalisis is saving my life but also can make me very sick. My body retains fluid and my disease has attacked my legs and I have a really hard time getting around I always need help because I unfortunately fall a lot due to the weakness in my legs. I have lost all of my independence. I no longer can drive. All the responsibilities fall on Jenine. She now has to do everything. She gets up for work every day at 2 am. She works 15 to 16 hr days, she then comes home and spends time with the kids. She helps them with school work and also gets dinner ready and any other house hold chores that need to be done. She does all the shopping in the house. I'm not able to help with any of those duties any more.

My kids have been amazing throughout my battle with my disease. It kills me to see them have to go through this. They are always willing to help me. I've made a promise to them that I would continue to fight and never give up. They unfortunately saw my father die of this same disease and of course they worry about me.

Thats the worst part of this to see my family worry about me. I am doing this go fund me so I can get a kidney transplant. the waiting list for the national kidney register list is an average 10 yr wait for a kidney. However there is also a program that if you have a private donor and they do not match you it allows you to bring your donor to a swap program and they find someone who does match me and my donor gives their kidney to a match and I also get a kidney thats a match for me. All of this is very expensive and insurance doesn't cover all costs. With a new kidney I can cure my disease and go back to my life and gain the ability to be independent again. So please help me get a cure and allow me to keep my promise to my family.
