Help drill a water well in Tanzania

Donation protected

Final UPDATE, December 7: All components of this project are officially complete!

I never expected for it to all materialize so quickly, originally I told the village it would take up to six months to get the funds and complete everything, but it all only took about a month and a half which is truly incredible.

The village not only has reliable access to clean water now, but the garden was started immediately after the taps were finished and the corn and bean plants are both already at least 6 inches high!

We planted a large variety of crops, and now the village has taken over the day-to-day maintainance of the garden, and will continue to do so indefinitely. They are all so thrilled about the new opportunities that having water has brought to the village.

The village council also has formulated a plan to ensure the long-term sustainability of the both the well and the garden project. I couldn't have done any of this without their help and passion.

I also couldn't have done it without all of the supporters and donators who believed in me and this project, thank you all so much!

Sending my love from Tanzania! I have recently relocated to the Southern Highlands of Tanzania to begin on my next project.

Also, here are some of the photos taken during the first couple of days of the garden project, and also at the bottom of this page you can find a completed breakdown of the project expenses.
