Drew Williams Cancer Fight

On September 27, 2017 Drew went to Urgent Care with chest pains and difficulty breathing. He was immediately sent to Sharp Memorial to do a CT scan.  The results of the scan were our family's worst fear... he had a mass on his lung.  At his next doctor appointment on October 4 the doctor informed him the mass was 3.6 cm.  On October 19 he had another doctor appointment to get a plan as to how they were going to approach treatment.   On December 18 Drew had surgery to remove the mass but unfortunately the doctors could not remove it due to the positioning of the mass and he was diagnosed with stage 3 metastasis lung cancer.  He was released from the hospital on December 20.  

On January 23 he met the oncology team to learn the plan of attack.  On February 5th he will begin Chemotherapy treatments along with five weeks of radiation five times a week.  After all this treatment is completed we are hopeful that he will then be able to have yet another surgery to remove the cancer.

The insurance costs for these procedures and treatments are astronomical.  Even with insurance his current medical bills are over $21,000.

Anyone that knows Drew and Tisha know that either one of them would give you the shirt right off their back if you needed it, so now I’m asking OUR friends and family to do the same for them.  Anything you can do to help Drew, Tisha, their 4 kids and grandson is so appreciated. The financial burden will be huge and he will be unable to work during his treatment.

My hope is that we can help alleviate a little bit of stress from their lives. Especially Drew as we will need him as strong as possible to fight this cancer.
