Hi there,

Thank you for your consideration in donating to support Drew's family during this time. The family has requested that we consolidate our efforts and outreach. Please do not attempt to donate further via this GOFUNDME page. If you would please use the link above or below to be taken to the donation portal initially setup by the family. We apologize for any confusion, but truly would like to respect the family's wishes.

Sincerely,

TBG & Family

Dear Friends & Colleagues,

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we write you today. The Benoit Group has recently learned that our very own Drew Swope has passed away. I know this comes as shocking news; almost unimaginable as we never expect this to come to pass for one of our own especially at only 32 years of age. Though the details are limited, what we know so far is that his passing was due to circumstances surrounding a biking incident on Saturday, October 14th.

This news is heartbreaking because of who Drew was and how he treated his fellow man. He was indeed a genuine and good-hearted human being. For The Benoit Group, Drew was relatively new to the organization. He truly became part of the TBG family in a very short amount of time. Coming from DCA and looking into his other affiliations and endeavors, Drew brought with him a multitude of skills and connections that only he could bring. He was a special guy. The type that cared for the community- not just the one he lived in, but on all fronts. He wanted to make a difference. You could see it in his passion for the work we do. Developing communities is by no means an easy task. It takes dedication, creativity, and a focused mindset. Drew brought this and more to the table. He could have gone many places but he came here because he wanted to help create homes for those who needed it most. His greatest attribute was his heart. He truly cared about the people he worked for- the residents for whom we strive to create a place called home.

Drew is survived by his (newlywed) wife Amelia and family. It is for them that we must remain strong in this time of sadness. He became a critical part of the TBG family, and by extension his family is now part of us as well. It is with this notion in mind that we humbly ask you to give. We ask that you place yourself in his family’s shoes and contribute if you can. We have all lost loved ones and know the pain all too well. It truly hits home when it is one of your own. Thank you for your care and generosity and please keep Drew's family in your prayers.

God Bless,

The Benoit Group
