Drew Fights Cancer

Hi, my name is Drew. In January of 2017, at the age of 27, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Thanks to surgery and chemotherapy, I was declared in remission and cancer-free six months later.

In February of 2021, my cancer returned. I had emergency surgery again but I t’s much worse this time and has spread to my stomach. I’m moving to St. Louis to live with my parents and am going to be seeking medical care at Siteman Cancer Center, one of the top cancer centers in the country. 

A lot of friends and family have reached out to me and my family with love and support, and I am so thankful for you. Last time I did this, I supported myself entirely financially. As we start going through this a second time, I could use some help. If you’re able to give, even a little, I will appreciate it so much.

I keep saying that there’s a long road and a big battle ahead of us, but maybe that’s romanticizing it. What’s ahead of us is a lot of appointments, frustration, exhaustion, sadness, anger, pain, anxiety, and stress. We are hoping to find joy along the way too though.
