Hi, I'm Josette, I have over 30 years of wardrobe styling experience. National and regional magazines have featured my businesses. I have been a guest on podcasts and am continually part of sustainable business conversations. My styling has been featured in Celebrity News Magazine, Page Six, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Record Covers. My celebrity styling can be seen on the Red Carpet and at celebrity events around the world.

I have dreamed of creating the perfect shopping experience for my clients, and this new space would allow my vision to be fully realized.

The location is next to other retail shops that have a similar clientele. I'm currently located on the 4th floor of a neglected building. Even though my space is charming it is not conducive to growing my business.

I started Tangerine a much-loved boutique in Downtown Bakersfield from 2003-2013. I've successfully managed corporate retail stores in Los Angles and Bakersfield. In 2018 I launched Number46 a sustainable fashion brand and styling studio. Since launching Number46 I've grown my Style Box Subscription from zero to sixty and growing subscribers all over the country. My clients hire me to do personal shopping, closet editing, and image consulting. I love creating a space for people to come together, shop, and get inspired.

The Location

The charming 1926 Cottages are located on Truxtun Ave in Downtown Bakersfield, CA.

Number46 would be directly across from the popular Oleander & Palm, home store. We share a similar demographic as we both curate second-hand and sustainably sourced goods. Cafe Crepes de Paris is a favorite breakfast and lunch spot also located at The Cottages. Right across from the convention center. Location is everything in retail and this move would provide me with the traffic and space that my current location does not.
