DreamGirls World Cheer Championship

DreamGirls is Australia's leading elite all girl cheerleading squad. Since beginning in 2010, we have been at the frontier of Australian Cheerleading. In 2011, we were the first All-Girl Level 5 team to represent Australia at the International All Star Cheerleading Federation (IASF) and International Cheerleading Union (ICU) world cheerleading championships. That year we bought home Australia's first silver medal from the ICU championships and a top 10 All Girl IASF ranking. In 2012, we competed again, securing an ICU bronze medal and another top 10 All Girl IASF ranking. The past year has seen the beginning of a successful National Championship club "DreamTyme All Stars", begun from the DreamGirls and a new training venue in Ferntree Gully. DreamGirls has since become Australia's first and only All-Girl level 6 cheerleading team. We are continuing pushing the known skill boundaries of cheerleading in Australia, setting the standards many other programs rise to meet.

Recently at the 2013 Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF)'s Australian National Championship held in November at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, we qualified to attend the IASF World Championships in April 2014. The World Championships are the epitome of competition for cheerleading. The World Championships are held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at DisneyWorld in Orlando, Florida. The championships are attended by over 80 countries and in excess of 23,000 athletes compete over 3 days. DreamGirls is the first All-Girl level 6 team to qualify to represent Australia at the World Championships. Leading up the championships DreamGirls will be training 4-5 nights a week totaling approximately 10-12 hours.

All training, uniforms, competition entries and travel costs are at the expense of individual athletes, which will total over $5000 per athlete. With 24 athletes and 3 coaches this totals to over $130,000. We are hoping to fundraise, in order to subsidise the cost for individual athletes. We would be extremely grateful if you would consider assisting DreamGirls journey to the world championships.
DreamGirls are looking for sponsors of both monetary and goods donations. Monetary donations would assist us in subsidising traveling costs such as those for accommodation, flights and competition entry fees.
