The American Dream means opportunity and upward mobility. Through their hard work these three young Truckee High School scholars have created for themselves a unique step up the American social ladder, but they need your help for making it to the top.
Leslie, Brizeth, and Mitzi are accepted and granted free tuition to Indiana University's School of Business summer program, a highly competitive pre-college immersion for top high school students nationally. However, travel costs from Truckee, CA to Indiana are not included and somewhat prohibitive.
I have taught and mentored these Dreamers since their Freshman year, and been consistently inspired with their grit and determination. Yet hope alone is not enough. Air travel between Truckee and IU will cost a minimum of $500 each. With a June 18 deadline approaching we need your timely help in supporting these scholars and reaffirming the foundational values of our country.
100% of gifted funds will go directly to covering travel costs.
