Crohns Disease Awareness

Hey everybody, I’m starting a Crohns Awareness campaign to bring Crohns into the forefront. Crohn’s disease has affected me since the age of 17. The many health complications it brings along with it can be devastating and life changing. I myself have had 2 surgical procedures in the last year to keep my Crohn’s disease under control. I have seen what Crohns can do to a person and their life first hand.

I want to start this campaign to shed a light on a disease too often looked over as most Crohns patients don’t show any physical symptoms of their disease. It is often called by many an invisible disease as we, (crohnies), rarely have physical ailments.

This is a terrible disease that is with us for life. I’d love to be able to bring Crohns and Crohns research to the forefront of public knowledge and spread the word that just because we “look fine” doesn’t really mean we are.

With your help we are looking to help those affected by this disease with medical bills and medicines. Crohns patients are sometimes deemed disabled and unable to work, thus leaving them without any income or medical insurance to get the medical help they need.

With this campaign we are looking to start giving Crohns a bigger face in the medical community and bringing awareness and those afflicted by this disease together and giving a sense of community to those who feel alone with this disease.
