DRC Run & Get Lit(erature)

Each year District Running Collective (DRC) seeks to find new and innovative ways to support and contribute to our local community and this year is no different. DRC is proud to partner with KIPP DC Discover Academy to create and contribute to a brand new Mobile Library for their students experience. This library will allow over 350 students access to a variety of books to read at school and even to take home to enjoy.




As a collective, we are looking to raise money to donate 352 books towards this mobile library by doing what we do best - running. To initiate this effort, Matthew Green, one of our DRC founders, decided to dedicate all 26.2 miles of his Marine Corp Marathon and raise money towards the purchase books. Matthew received several generous responses from family and friends and in just one day, he was able to exceed his goal. But, we have much more to do to meet our collective goal, so we need your help.
