Drake's LA Showcase trip/future!

It's always weird to ask for money, but it feels a little better when you know it will be worth it. I think this is worth it.
My name is Drake Slansky, and I'm a senior Acting major at the University of Northern Colorado. I plan to act my face off and make as much meaningful art as I can until I'm 104 years old (or thereabouts), and this May I have my first huge opportunity to do so. UNCo puts on an LA Showcase every year, during which a handful of seniors head to LA to showcase themselves, and their talents, to current agents and casting directors in the business. It's a huge opportunity to gain exposure and insight into the business of acting in a big market, but it's also not cheap. Your donations will not only cover the cost of the showcase, the separate airfare and lodging, but it will also get me started on my actual career when I move to LA in late August or early September of 2018.
Knowing that I can move to a big market with the money I have saved from working on top of the generous donations of people who care will be an enormous help. It will mean I can pay my first few months of rent without having to work 12 hour days. It will mean I can actually go out on auditions instead of solely working to survive. It gets the ball rolling, and hopefully that roll never stops.
