Hello again world,
My name is Drake Hoffmeister and I’m 18. I sing bass with my group Forte A Cappella and I have been invited again to sing bass at A Cappella Academy in Los Angeles over the summer. I am currently a senior in high school and this would be my last opportunity to do something like this before I head off to college. As of now, a lot of the money I make at my job is being put towards college funds so I turn to you to help support me in my musical endeavors. During camp last year I felt that I grew so much as a person and as a musician and I want to do the same again this year. I especially think that this opportunity will help prepare me to be a confident music major in college and in life. I think of music as a way of communicating to other people in such a way that words never can and that’s really what I hope to do with my life- speak to people with my music. I mentioned this last year but I certainly still see A Cappella Academy as a type of stepping stone to help me achieve that goal. Last year during camp I truly felt myself progress so much so I really believed that my goals in music were possible and I want to propel myself into the world of music with that same, if not stronger, belief. My desire to return to A Cappella Academy one last time is fueled by my adoration of music and determination to one day make meaningful music of my own for myself and for the world.
