Draego K-9 Equipment
I work for a small Police Department that does not have a budget for a K-9. I have agreed that if the board would approve the K-9 program, I would out of my own pocket and through grants and donations would make it work.
I have currently purchased Draego, a lot of beginning training gear, food, vet, etc. I have currently spent a little over $9,000.00 out of my own pocket at this juncture.
I have teamed up with Lowe's Home Improvement and they have agreed to split the costs of the material for Draego's kennel. This will leave a balance of around $3500.00 for the materials.
I am also working with Morrow Brother's Ford here in Illinois looking for a nice used Police Trade-in and also looking online for a good vehicle for our K9 vehicle. I have found many in the range of 12k-14k. The remaining funds would be held for Draego's final certification training and transport.
Our community has a very low income, and I have agreed to basically forfeit my pay as the Chief to put this money towards our K-9 program. The little money that our Mayor makes, he has also agreed to put that to our K-9 program.
If there is anyone out there, that can locate a good vehicle that is already Police Equipped that would work for Draego and can get on donation, then that will reduce the amount we are trying to raise!

Draego is currently 4mos old, and has already began his obedience training, and his scent aids for narcotics will be arriving next week. The imprinting will begin. Draego is a Sable German Shepherd. He is a German Import and comes from a long line of working dogs.
