Dr. Raynold Will See You Now

Donation protected
My close friend Derissa is in her last semester of medical school, which her and her family have been paying for entirely out of pocket. Due to the pandemic, she has run into financial hardship and is currently being stopped from registering for her final comp exam until her tuition is paid.

Derissa and her family have already been through a lot this year with the unexpected passing of Dhelon Raynold, her brother and best friend, back in February. It was his wish to see her accomplish her dream of becoming a family doctor. The future Dr. Raynold intends to practice family medicine primarily among communities of color and women like her are sorely needed in the medical profession.

I have known Derissa since I was 14 years old and we were classmates at the United Nations International School (UNIS) in New York City. She is one of the most hard-working, selfless and driven people I've ever met. After spending 4 years at Drew University for Undergrad, Dee was accepted to the American University of Antigua, where she has been a student since 2014. Upon completing her final semester at AUA, she plans on working as a physician in St. Lucia or conducting research in the States. Her plan is to take her Board exams next Fall. I know times are tough for everyone at this point but, I am asking you to please donate to this cause if you can. Any amount helps in terms of reaching our ultimate goal of $30k. If you are not in a position to donate, please consider forwarding this link to people in your network who you think would be willing to donate.

I want to help make Derissa's dream come true. Will you help out?
