Dr Otoman Hurricane Maria Fund

Dr. Raul Otoman is both a local medical provider and civic leader on the northwest side of Puerto Rico, which was devastated by Hurricane Maria.  Through his clinic, Dr. Otoman provides medical treatment to any and all people seeking healthcare and medical assistance in Hatillo, Camuy and surrounding communities, often treating patients free of charge as many families are uninsured and/or have little means.  He turns no one away who needs help.  Now Dr. Otoman needs us to help him and the community he serves.  Several of his patients, children's school mates, and other families have lost everything when Maria struck our island:  their homes, automobiles, and jobs.  Some families are still in shelters -- schools that have been repurposed to house the homeless -- and other temporary structures that are now group housing for entire communities. It's a catastrophe none of us have, nor ever will, endure, and a tragedy that none of can even imagine or witness.  Yet it is happening day-by- day, hour-by-hour, with no end in sight.  Dr. Otoman has volunteered to distribute what funding he can procure for basic necessities of the communities he serves, and we are asking for your help.  Any amount is valued by and for our island families, and will be used to purchase water, food and medical supplies for the families and children located in Hatillo, Camuy and Quebradillas.  Your donations will go directly to Dr. Otoman's account in Hatillo, PR, and we will share with you updates on the distribution of funds.  On behalf of Dr. Otoman and his family --  our dear neighbors -- and those displaced by Maria, we appreciate your thoughts, prayers and generosity.
