Dr. Anyim Palmer.  95 year-old decorated WWII vet, from the campaign against the Japanese in the Philipines, one of the few who remain living.  Award-winning educator and founder of the Marcus Gravey School, an instituion of learning in Los Angeles that has 6th graders doing college level reading and calculus, a school that has had many kids go to college from as early as the 10th grade.

Several years ago Dr. Palmer discovered he had Alzheimer's, right after having a devestating stroke that  rendered him unable to move the left side of his body.  He has been in the care of his grandson but funds are needed at this point to buy him a new bed and specific and very expensive medications to combat bed sores, as well as stock up on general items needed for his day-to-day, 24-hour care such as adult diapers, bedsheets, wipes, and other costly related in-home care resources.

His grandson wants to keep him at home as he is a step above needing hospice care at this point, and it was Dr. Palmer's desire never to be put in a nursing facility and to pass away peacefully in the care of those who love him.  It is no one's responsibility to help this happen, but we're appealing to any good-hearted folks to help if they feel it in their hearts.  This is a great man who gave his life to educate and help others, who honorably served his country in combat, and the goal is to make the last of his remaining time on this earth as comfortable as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and whatever your gift is, it is appreciated sincerely!
