</div>

<div> Born on May 14, 1954, to the late Alice Marion Dunn and the late Willie E. Lee, Alan was raised in the City of Chester primarily by his mother and grandmother, Mary Tillery, who was instrumental in raising Alan and instilling discipline and structure in his life. Alan attended public school in Chester. He also attended Widener University, which is also located in Chester, where he overcame significant challenges to pursue his education.

<div> As a young man, he was an avid animal lover and was deeply involved in his high school’s band, chess team, wrestling team, baseball team, and marching band; experiences that not only shaped his character but also reinforced his commitment to discipline, teamwork, and resilience—values that would guide him throughout his life.

<div> <strong>His life verse was Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.</strong>
