13.02.2012 Thank you all so much for the incredible donations to date. Rich is making some slow and steady progress now...so following his lead, it\'s about time i did the same! I will start training this week and will be thinking of those Fryers every step of the way.
As all of you will be aware, on Monday 23.01.2012 came the shocking and tragic news of Rich\'s terrible accident. It\'s hard for me to say how I\'m feeling at this stage when disbelief, shock and sadness are all totally overridden by a strong sense of wanting to stay positive and do something...anything to support him on his road to recovery.
For those that don\'t know, Rich and I have been training together for the last 18-months and in our quest to keep fit Rich has been a huge support to me, a source of inspiration, motivation and above all...a true friend.
At some point this year (probably August), I will run a Marathon for Rich. I would like to raise as much money as possible to show support to Rich and Charlie on what will no doubt be a difficult journey ahead.
Any money raised will go directly to Rich and Charlie who will later decide how to best use these funds when Rich is well enough to make such decisions. Charlie feels that the emergency services and the NNCU ward at Addenbrookes are both potential worthy causes as they have helped so much so far but no doubt Rich will have the casting decision.
Please give what you can and keep those positive thoughts coming... : )
