Improve NOT Expand Wasatch Blvd

Gaining media attention and leverage with Utah Dept of Transportation (UDOT) and elected officials to make a decision to improve Wasatch Blvd instead of expand it into another multi-lane, high-noise, air polluting highway takes money. Website, banners, flyers, media buys, print materials will be necessary.

UDOT is announcing their “LCC EIS preferred alternatives” in June which will likely be to double or triple the size of Wasatch Blvd ruining forever the tranquility and character of Utah's gateway to its prized Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Finalized plans scheduled for 2021 and construction would begin in the following years.
Making it clear what Wasatch Front residents want and must have needs to happen now. Face to face meetings, phone calls, letters and media attention has to happen in June and July, 2020.

Improving the blvd for its commuter, skier, bicyclist and resident can be accomplished with technology, BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) and traffic calming measures. Stand up to improve not expand Wasatch Blvd. Demand that your taxpayer dollars are spent to improve human health and safety not add more lanes, more cars, more pollution.
Please, volunteer your expertise & time and/or donate to this campaign to stop needless bulldozing, asphalting, and ruination of this last urban dynamic foothill area.
