My name is Rodney Burrow a good friend and ministry partner of David Paul Brooks known as DPB. David has been in full time ministry for over 30 years. I have known David for about seven years and over that time we have become very close friends personally and ministry partners in various outreach efforts. We consider ourselves covenant brothers. When it comes to ministry we understand each other’s heart, so we give each other the liberty to speak for one another concerning ministry commitments. You know a person not only by what they say but by what they do, day in and day out. David pours himself into everything, every person he shares with, every event he does. He loves people. If you know David or have experienced his ministry you know what I am talking about.
Far too often I see ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ suffer financially. What you don't know about David are the financial struggles he has to deal with on a frequent basis. David is all about ministry, that is what he knows, that is where his heart is. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always pay the bills. David would never ask because he trust and believes God to be his source. Yes, he has seen God move in some mighty ways but also, I believe it is our obligation as the body of Christ to help support those who share the gospel. I and others have encouraged him to let those whom he has touched through his ministry, give back to him in a tangible way. I approached David recently and received his permission to create this GoFundMe page.
You see our goal is $25,000. This is what it will accomplish for David. It will allow him to pay some immediate financial obligations, so he can remain in his home. It will give him enough funds along with his income he receives from currently booked events, so he can focus on ministry for one year. He won’t have to be concerned about where to live or will the phones, power and internet remain functioning. If you have ever been in this financial situation you know how heavily it ways on your heart and mind. It distracts you from accomplishing your goals. For a minister it is heavy on your heart because souls are at stake.
A few things that are forming this year for David. He will be releasing his Celebration Album, title Undefeated3-0. This album is a tribute to his 30 years in full time ministry. This album was fully funded by a businessman wanting to help David. We are preparing in 2018 to launch a tour with the goal of reaching all 50 states, 10,000 souls a state.
God is doing a lot through DPB. I ask you to consider making a contribution to his ministry. When you do I can assure you that lives will be changed through the ministry of David Paul Brooks. It is the heartbeat of God that flows through David and touches the lives of those he ministers too.
I can also assure you that David will appreciate every bit of support you can afford and yes, he desires your prayers. I thank you and he thanks you in advance for all your kindness through your gift.
David has asked me to be the repository of the funds collected. He and I both are very big on accountability so to that end I will have the funds in separate account for disbursement at his request. In the effort to remain transparent we will publish a monthly report of all disbursements to those who have contributed to this campaign.
