TikTok Across America

Hello everyone. My name is Shane and I have started to gain a following on TikTok with just over 11.6 thousand followers, and I was also recently evicted from my apartment. I was served a letter that said I had to vacate by January 31st. I’m most likely moving back into my grandfathers house, where I lived until about 18, when I originally moved out. I just started a new job and I’m also trying to see the world....well the country. I decided what better time to do that And why not make it a challenge? My friend and I plan to rent a car from February 1st- 8th, and I’m trying to make TikToks while driving nonstop (maybe a few stops to get gas and maybe see a few landmarks along the way) with my friend, and make our way from Massachusetts to Los Angeles. We figure with two (possibly 3) people switching off driving straight through and stopping minimally, it will take at most 3 days to get there. So we’d be in Los Angeles and traveling that area seeing a beach and maybe drive through the Vegas dessert and see what the West Coast has to offer for a couple days on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th, And make our way back for the 8th. The rental we’re looking at is about $210, the rental place puts an additional hold for $200. We calculated gas to be about $360 round trip. With food and spare additional expenses at $250. Bringing the total to $1,020. I think that it would be the cheapest, most perfect way to safely see the country without stopping and staying in a hotel and risking infection, or spending a lot of money. Plus how fun would it be? A couple LGBT friends making videos driving through the country seeing the natural landmarks this country has to offer! The fact that we’ll be blogging and making it a challenge online, we have to offer an incentive and make it fun, so we’re thinking we could write you’re name or username on the car in washable paint markers advertising it while we travel. We really wanna make this trip happen with just over $1,000 and we would love your help to make our dreams of seeing California a reality. We’re both adding in some of our own funds we have saved but any little bit from you helps.
