Downward Doug

My best friend is one of the most wonderful and generous people I’ve ever known. She organizes charity events and blood drives, highlights and promotes local businesses, constantly there for family and friends... I could go on. 

Her family has been down on their luck for almost a year due to job loss, and she has never once asked for help from anyone. She and her family don’t have health insurance, are barely staving off creditors, and yet this amazing woman manages to stay positive and focused on what she can do to make her situation more solvent for her family.

But now, due to this situation, she’s forced to make a horrible decision: whether or not to get life-saving treatment for one of her fur babies, Doug. 

She would NEVER do anything like what doing — a GoFundMe. And honestly, I never ever thought I would either. But I’ve never known someone more worthy of just a little help. 

Doug has a bowel obstruction and needs emergency surgery. Surgery costs between $5,000-$7,000 which is an exorbitant amount of money when you have low income.  

Between me and anyone else who knows and loves this amazing woman, I think we can help her out!
