Downtown Music SLC Documentary

Hello!

My name is Oliver Valenzuela. I'm a musician originally from Chile, but I've called Utah home for more than 24 years now. I've rehearsed throughout the years on and off in this multi-room rehearsal facility called "Downtown Music" in Salt Lake City.

In my latest room occupancy, I've been spending more time in the building and I've had the chance to talk to more people than ever before. Some of them rehearse there, some work there and others are not there anymore but have many stories to tell.

My curiosity increased when I started wondering what this immense building was before, and the biggest question to me, who decided to turn it into a band rehearsal business and thought it was a good idea.

I decided to investigate it and record my findings in the way of a documentary. So we can discover the history of this place together, but also, you can get an insight of this fascinating place and the fascinating people that have occupied the place throughout the years.

The money raised will be spent mainly on equipment and equipment upgrade, editing, traveling for interviews and eventually the time consuming process and fees of submitting the documentary to film festivals.

Every person that donates will have an exclusive preview of the film before it officially comes out and other memorabilia to be announced.
