Paying Tribute to Dovie Ann Clark
Dovie Ann Clark was born on April 27, 1956 in Quitman MS. Unfortunately for this world, she
was called home to be with her mother, father, sister, her daughter Tina, and her granddaughter Sophia on April 5, 2019. To those that did not know my her , she was a phenomenal woman.
Not just as a mother, but also as a grandmother. She loved to watch her grandchildren, Skylynn,
Savannah, and TJ Parker play basketball, baseball, and softball. While at softball tournaments,
many children and adults came to know my mom by her grandparent name, GeGe. I cannot tell
you how many times she would be at a tournament, and someone would come up to her and say, “Hey GeGe, I’m glad you came, and I’m so glad I got to see you. I’ve missed you so much.”
You see, as she got older, she became sicker and sicker from complications from kidney failure . She had to go to dialysis every week several times . About 2 months ago, she was at a doctor’s appointment and got up off the table, slipped, fell, and broke her hip. So of course she went and had surgery to fix her hip . She was in a care center close to a month for rehab before she was able to come home. Unfortunately, her time was shorter than any of us realized. As things come up in life, and we do not prepare for the worst. On behalf of my family and I, we are asking for help with covering her cremation . It is going to cost $2,000 to do this. She was on social security, and on a VERY limited monthly budget so she didn’t have life insurance and we thought she did .
Dovie Ann was a very selfless woman. She cared more for others that she did herself. With regards to donations, we will continually update the site
with information. My Family and I would like to thank you for anything that you can to provide
help in this time of need and heartbreak. Thank you, and may God bless you .
